For 70 years, 810-836 81st Avenue in Oakland was the home and production facility for world-famous “Mother’s Cookies”. Ellis Partners acquired this user facility from the parent company after production was relocated out of state.

Recognizing the potential for multi-tenant adaptive re-use, the Ellis team performed major interior and exterior renovations, including multiple new recessed dock doors, and re-leased a large portion of the building to a new bakery tenant able to utilize many of the existing improvements. Another portion of the property was leased to a candy manufacturer while a smaller surplus building was sold to an investor/buyer.
